What Is the GHG Protocol? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The GHG Protocol, or Greenhouse Gas Protocol, is the world\u2019s most widely used standard for climate accounting. The framework was developed by the World Resources Institute, WRI, and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, WBCSD, to create a common method for how organizations calculate and report greenhouse gas emissions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the GHG Protocol is to create structure, transparency, and comparability in companies\u2019 climate work. By categorizing emissions and defining common principles, it becomes possible to track climate impact over time and identify where the largest emissions arise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
